About the Speaker:

Professor Chang Fuliang holds a Ph.D. in Spanish Language and Literature. He is Vice Chair of the National Advisory Committee on Foreign Language Teaching in Higher Education and Chair of its Spanish Language Teaching Sub-committee. He also serves as an Executive Director of the Foreign Language Teaching Research Branch of the China Association of Higher Education.

Professor Chang is Dean of the School of Spanish and Portuguese Studies at Beijing Foreign Studies University, Editor-in-Chief of Spanish Language Review, and Editor-in-Chief of Mutual Learning between China and Latin America. His main research areas include Spanish translation theory and practice, Spanish grammar, Spanish rhetoric, and Spanish language teaching. He is the author of monographs such as A New Spanish Grammar and Essentials of Spanish Literature, and has compiled textbooks including Modern Spanish Listening 1 and Modern Spanish Listening 2. He also led the compilation of Understanding Contemporary China: Advanced Chinese-Spanish Translation Course, among other works.
